Expect a Therapeutic Approach that is

  • Interactive
  • Strength-based
  • Goal-oriented
  • Strategic
  • Experiential
  • Creative

In individual or family therapy, we work together to create new openings, new possibilities, and new solutions to old difficulties.

As a Psychologist, I’m committed to and passionate about helping to create meaningful and positive change. I find this work to be highly rewarding, as well as joyful and uplifting. For many years now I have engaged intensely in active, collaborative and experiential approaches to psychotherapy, including:

  • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Positive Psychology
  • Guided Imagery/Visualization
  • Mindfulness
  • Family Systems Therapy
  • Psychodynamic Therapy

Who am I?

Like most of us, I am many things, I have many roles and identities: I am passionate about my job as a Psychologist; I love to travel; I am a soccer enthusiast; I enjoy working out; I am a life-long learner; I am originally from Sweden; I am a husband; I am a father ; I am a dog-owner; I am a regular meditator; I am slowly getting into yoga; I love the outdoors and particularly kayaking.

I did my undergraduate training at the University of Stockholm, Sweden, with a major in Education and Social Anthropology. My graduate doctoral studies in psychology were at the William James College in the Boston area.

Who Do I Work With?

My area of clinical specialization is in working with boys/men, and families, struggling with depression and/or anxiety. As a Psychologist, and as a man, this is work I am very passionate about. For many years now, I have found it truly rewarding to help men of all ages on their journeys toward greater life enjoyment, richer self-expression, and deeper self-knowledge.

It is not always easy for men to seek out psychological help. Therapy can be truly life changing for boys and men to grow and to find their own voices. In therapy you will deepen your skills for becoming a more competent and expressive communicator.
